Founder and Manager of Women in Painting, Caroline Miall, has been involved with the establishment, growth and success of Aussie Painters Network, since its inception in 2011.
Caroline has gained a unique understanding of male dominated trades, and the challenges encountered by women entering these industries. With a background in counseling, student support & human services, she has spent the last two years directly supporting and mentoring female apprentices across Australia, from male dominated industries ranging from construction, mechanical & manufacturing to engineering, mining & aviation. She has assisted apprentices with professional, personal, mental health and financial issues so that they may keep successfully progressing in their trades. Caroline has hosted social gatherings, professional development workshops and guides apprentices to advocate for themselves with employers, to grow their networks and strengthen their place in their training and workplaces.
In the space of two short years, the impact that these women have then made in the apprenticeship space is profound and resulting in improving the working environment for all apprentices, whilst raising the bar on quality and professionalism for tradespeople and employers across all non-traditional trades.
Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey. Together, we will paint a brighter, more inclusive future for the painting industry in Australia. Let's celebrate the incredible women who are redefining our craft and paving the way for a new era of artistry and excellence.
